The Gospel

I want you to know that God loves you and desires to have a relationship with you. He is not mad at you!

We are all in need of the Savior. We have all sinned and come short in life. The Bible tells us in Romans 5:8 that sin entered the world through one man, Adam, and because of Adam’s sin, death and condemnation spread to all men. Sin separated us from God. It stood in the way. But in His goodness and love God sent His Son to redeem us so that in one man, Jesus Christ, we could be made righteous leading to eternal life.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬

Born of a virgin and free from the sin nature tied to Adam's lineage, Jesus lived a sinless life. He was beaten and battered on His way to the cross where he died as atonement for the sins of the world. He died so that our sins, yours and mine, would no longer be a barrier between us and the Father. He took the punishment of sin and on the third day he was raised from the dead, breaking the power of sin and death so that we could have eternal life.

He saw you and thought you were worth the price. He laid down His life because you are precious to Him. He knows you by name. Regardless of the life you have lived, how good or bad you have been, or whether you currently feel worthy of God's grace, God wants you to know that He loves you. He wants you to know Him and experience life as He intended for you. You don't have to earn or beg for His salvation. Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Salvation is a gift from God. The cross provided forgiveness for all our sins, gives us peace with God, and removes all shame and guilt. It brings us back into the family of God by restoring our identity and giving us the righteousness of God. Our part is to respond to His gift and yield ourselves in faith to what Jesus has done.

Will you respond today?

If you place your trust in Jesus and make him Lord of your life, He will come and dwell in your heart and give you new life. You can have peace, joy, love, and security in God. Your life will be transformed. If you want to experience the salvation Jesus provided through his death, burial, and resurrection, you can pray a prayer that goes something like "Thank you Father for sending your son to bear the punishment for my sins. I repent and ask for forgiveness. Jesus I believe that you have risen from the dead and I make you Lord of my life. I ask that you will send your Spirit to dwell in my heart. I give you thanks for the free gift of salvation you have given me. Amen."

If you have prayed that prayer, welcome to the family! We would love to hear from you. Feel free to send us a message on the "Contact Us" page. I pray that you will experience God's goodness and love in ways you could have never imagined. He will never forsake you and has so much in store for you.
